Jon Baumann - Director of Bands
Mr. Baumann, originally from Bismarck, ND, attended the University of Mary where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. In 2003 Mr. Baumann received his Masters Degree from the American Band College at Southern Oregon University. As Director of Bands at Bismarck High School, he directs the Sophomore Band, Pep Band, Wind Ensemble and the award winning "Screamin' Demons Jazz Ensemble I ". He is Principal Trombone of the Bismarck-Mandan Wind Ensemble and has appeared as their featured soloist. He also performs with the local swing band Joe Friday, jazz quintet Dakota Martini and is Principal Trombone of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony . In 2001 he was named the National Band Associations "Allegro Band Award" winner for outstanding progress in the development of bands in ND. He has also been selected to be included in the "Who's Who in American Education" 2004-07. Mr. Baumann is in demand as a soloist, clinician, adjudicator, and guest conductor in the region. He is a member of MENC, IAJE, and the National Band Association.

Chris Dasovick - Associate Director of Bands
Chris Dasovick is a graduate of the University of Mary with degrees in Music Education, Music Performance, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. In 2008 he received his Master of Conducting from the American Band College at Southern Oregon University. Currently in his seventh year of teaching, Mr. Dasovick serves as Associate Director of Bands at both Bismarck High School and Century High School. At these schools he conducts the Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble #2, rehearses woodwind sectionals for the Sophomore Band and Wind Ensemble, and prepares students for state music contests. In addition to these duties, he directs the pit orchestra for the annual school musical, is webmaster of the Century High School Band website, and serves as site manager for both the North Dakota All-State Music Festival and the West State "A" Saxophone and Percussion Contest. He has a strong interest in saxophone solo and ensemble literature and operated a successful saxophone studio for many years. Chris was the 2010 recipient of the North Dakota National Band Association's "Allegro Band Award" for outstanding progress in the development of bands. He was also selected to Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2006 and 2007. His wife, Angie, teaches general music at Riverside Elementary School in Bismarck. They have two daughters, Emilee and Lily.
